More talents

Besse has been adopted!  Congratulations to all!

Gosh, things have been very busy around our house lately.  We've had a new patio, new roof, new siding and gutters all installed in the last several weeks.  Add to that work, 2 kids and 4 dogs and it's been a bit hectic.  But, Besse and I took some time out this morning and met our dog training group at the park for a distractions class.  The distractions included the normal activity that goes in a park on a  Sunday morning...geese, bikers, joggers, other dogs, etc.  Besse did great!  The geese, bikers and joggers were nothing to her.  She didn't even raise an eyebrow.  And the other time she barked at a passing dog was when it barked at her.  Good girl!  I hate to brag but really Besse is the best in the class.  She's a pup so is still learning and new people and new things can make her unsure but gosh once she starts learning she does so very quickly.

Today the instructor set out some obstacles for the dogs to go through.  One was a "cavaletti" which is a series of bars that the dog must walk over.  Besse did it perfectly on her second try.  See the video below.

Please keep reading the prior blog posts for more info about this sweet and talented young girl.

I'm going to go snuggle up with Besse and watch the baseball game.  She and I fell asleep on the couch last night.  Hopefully we can stay awake for the whole game tonight.

Thanks for thinking rescue!

Walking on the path

You can really see her hair becoming so fluffy.  When she first came to the rescue she was shaved down.  She almost looked like a little labrador then.  Now, she's looking very "collie."  Her coat is a bit rough.  She does shed but not a lot.

Geese in the background.  We walked closer to them.  Besse was intrigued but did not get excited by them.

Fluffy!
